- 2 tablespoons gluten-free tamari, divided
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon neutral oil
- 3 tablespoons peanut butter
- 2–4 tablespoons warm water
Instructions
- Heat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut tofu into 3/4-inch cubes and pat dry.
- Toss tofu with 1 tablespoon tamari and oil, then coat lightly with cornstarch. Spread on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake 25–30 minutes, turning halfway, until edges are crisp.
- Whisk peanut butter, remaining tamari and 2 tablespoons warm water. Add more water until pourable; serve alongside tofu.
Low-energy prep tip
Bake tofu on parchment paper; whisk sauce in a small bowl.
Recipe notes
Drying the tofu well helps the coating crisp.
